Continuing education in Osteopathy in the Craniel Field

IKO offers continuing education in Osteopathy in the Craniel Field for osteopaths and osteopathy students. The institute is headed by Lotte Brath Jensen, Aut. Osteopath DO, MDO, FSCCO.

Osteopathy in the Craniel Field involves considerable theoretical and practical complexity that extends far beyond what is covered in basic training. If you are curious and want to develop your skills, it helps to have the right professional framework around you.

Small teams – big difference

We know that the deepest learning happens when you get the chance to explore and put things into practice yourself—while also getting the chance to reflect on what you're experiencing along the way. That's why there's a max of 8 participants per instructor, so you're guaranteed personal feedback.

How the courses are structured

You start with two basic courses, which build a solid foundation in the fundamental principles and practical skills. This is because the benefit and level of the specialized courses are optimized when participants have developed a shared technical language and understanding of the basic principles.

If you have completed M2 at Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy, you are welcome to proceed directly to the specialization courses. Courses

International experts

The special courses regularly feature international osteopaths with special expertise in their field, including Sue Turner, Julia Finlay, and Giles Gleghorn.

What do you get out of it?

You will develop even greater osteopathic depth – both theoretically and in terms of perception. Many find that this is quickly reflected in their clinical results.

The approach can be used diagnostically as well as therapeutically on the entire body – not only in relation to the craniosacral system.

You will also find that the osteopathic literature becomes more accessible and your journal writing more focused.

New courses are regularly posted on the website, so stay tuned for updates and opportunities for professional development.

Comments from course participants

“For me, it has changed the entire way I treat people in my daily life. My perception of what health and healing are, and how we can help people. I must admit, it is a journey I have only just begun and will certainly never finish.”

- Frederik, Basic 1

"I have gained a different perspective on health and have become more aware of seeing everything that works well in the patient's health and not just focusing on the challenges/problems. This has given me a new perspective and greater confidence in the possibilities for healing."

-Hilde, Basic 1+2

"You taught me from the beginning how much health and wisdom reside in the body, and to discover how little physical interaction is needed to encourage profound improvements, to listen attentively to the body and support it kindly and patiently in rediscovering all its inherent life and movement."

-Bettina, Basic 1+2

“Don’t try to drive the Mechanism through any external force. Rely upon thetide.”

– W.G. Sutherland, DO
