Fundamental Skills & Philosophy

Among other things, the course aims to develop your physical and mental presence in the tissue. When you are able to establish good contact and gain a deeper understanding of the basic principles of cranial osteopathy, you will see completely different results in practice. The patient's mechanism will become your best teacher in everyday life.

Course content

Background

The course will introduce you to the practical basic principles that you use for all contact, regardless of which grip you use.

Delve into Sutherland's professional journey and how, over many decades, he developed his understanding of the cranial concept in the broader context of osteopathy with great curiosity. As his knowledge grew, he moved from a more mechanical approach to later understanding and incorporating broader contexts. These included fluid dynamics, Stillness, Potency, and The Tide.

The course focuses on creating the necessary basis for in-depth and effective treatment with good clinical results. The basic principles lay the practical foundation for all contact, where you continue to refine the meeting place.

Among other things, we train grounding, centering, fulcrums, motion present, neutral, intro to balanced ligamentous tension (BLT) and balanced membranous tension (BMT). And not least, the ability to wait for the tissue to self-correct. To practice patience while listening to the story your body unfolds.

When you are able to establish and maintain good contact in harmony with a deeper understanding of the basic principles of cranial osteopathy, it will give you completely different results in practice.

Goals

One of the aims of the course is to develop your perception skills, which can be applied in all forms of treatment techniques after the course.

That you discover how much better results you get by listening and keeping the tissue in the best possible condition, so that self-correction can take place.

When you are able to establish good contact and gain a deeper understanding of the basic principles of cranial osteopathy, it will give you completely different results in practice. The patient's mechanism will become your best teacher in everyday life.
