The Importance of Fluid Principles in Osteopathy
Fluid Principles are crucial in osteopathy, as they provide an in-depth understanding of the body's dynamics. By applying these principles, osteopaths can effectively diagnose, treat, and prevent a range of disorders.
This contributes to optimizing treatment outcomes and improves patients' health and well-being in a holistic way.
Course description
Contents
This course provides an introduction to the general principles of fluid dynamics. Topics include Fluidbody, lateral fluctuation, longitudinal fluctuation, balanced fluid tension, and fluiddrive. There will be a focus on understanding and facilitating fluid dynamics in the tissue as well as treating congestion in joints or stagnation of fluids between body parts. The course will also include practical exercises such as balanced fluid tension over the knee joint (BFT), lateral fluctuation, V-spread, intraosseous occiput, and possibly CV4/EV4.
Goals
The purpose of the course is to equip participants with practical skills to evaluate and treat dysfunctions in the musculoskeletal system. Participants will learn effective, gentle techniques to improve function around the knee joint and other related structures. The clinical relevance of the course is broad and includes the treatment of a range of musculoskeletal problems, including knee pain, ligament injuries, meniscus injuries, and other knee-related conditions. In addition, the course will focus on the treatment of patients with neurogenic conditions such as radiculopathy, neuropathy, and musculoskeletal problems related to these conditions.
